Wedding Moments Scrapbooking Page
Say "I do" to this beautiful wedding-themed scrapbooking project.
Read Scrapbooking Attitude package instructions.
Use computer and printer to print on Attitude sheet, following these tips: A. Print on glossy side of sheet, handling by edges only. B. Always print photo as mirror image. (See printer or computer for settings.) Note: Printed side of Attitude sheet will be turned over and attached to paper so if you don't print as mirror image, words and photos will be backwards. C. Use "Photo" quality setting and "Glossy Photo Paper" media setting. D. Print only one sheet at a time. E. Be sure ink is dry, by waiting at least 2-3 hours before laminating. (Humid environments may take longer.) F. Wait to trim photo until instructed to do so. G. Remove labels from backs of scrapbook papers before gluing or laminating. Print mirror image of 8" x 10" photo onto glossy side of Attitude sheet. (To reduce edge-curling, wait to remove from backing sheet until just before laminating.) Use rotary trimmer to trim laminated photo to 8" x 10".
In a well-ventilated, newspaper-covered area, lightly spray lace with spray adhesive and attach to white cardstock. Let dry.
Laminate using one of the following methods: To laminate with glue stick: Apply generous amount glue stick to lace-covered cardstock. Remove Attitude from backing paper (discard backing) and flip over, carefully positioning glossy side of Attitude onto glued area, paying attention to position of textured shapes. (Example: Plan where lace flowers will be on girl's face.) Press in place being careful not to stretch Attitude. Let dry. (Tip: For any loose edges, gently pull up Attitude edges, apply glue stick to Attitude and press back in place. It will take several hours for glue to completely dry and become transparent.) To laminate with iron: Preheat iron, set on med-high. Remove Attitude from backing paper (discard backing) and flip over, carefully positioning glossy side of Attitude on lace-covered cardstock on ironing board, paying attention to position of textured shapes. (Example: Plan where lace flowers will be on girl's face.) Carefully cover with press cloth. To press, slide iron slowly and consistently with light, even pressure for about 30 – 60 seconds, depending on size of image. Lift iron and move to next section without sliding. Continue pressing until all areas have been covered. Remove press cloth and let cool. To laminate by machine: (Note: If laminator isn't 12 1/2" wide, trim lace and cardstock to 8 1/2" x 11" and laminate. Then use an additional 12" x 12" piece of lace and cardstock for the under layer.) Preheat laminator. (If laminator has thickness settings, adjust according to thickness of paper: Flat paper - lower number, textured paper – medium number, highly textured paper – highest number.) Remove Attitude from backing paper (discard backing) and flip over, carefully positioning glossy side of Attitude centered on lace-covered cardstock, paying attention to position of lace shapes. (Example: Plan where lace flowers will be on girl's face.) Use very small pieces of tape on top corners to temporarily hold in place. Insert edge of Attitude/paper into laminator, until rollers feed it through.
Use scissors to trim around flowers of lace to 9" x 11" size, creating a scalloped left edge. (Note: Photo may not be centered on lace, depending on position of flowers. This adds to the charm of the page.)
For title, use computer and desired font to write bride's and groom's names in repeating pattern. (Note: You may need two or more rows.) On mirror image setting of printer, (letters are backwards) print onto second Attitude sheet. Use rotary trimmer to trim title to 5/8" wide strips. Remove Attitude from backing (discard backing) and flip over, carefully positioning glossy side of Attitude on ribbon, piecing words as necessary. Adhere with method of choice.
On background paper, use two layers foam tape to attach mounted, laminated photo to the right. Using dot runner, attach laminated ribbon vertically to left, wrapping ends to back.
Use craft snip to remove prongs on brads. Attach brads using glue spots, vertically centered between scallops, on left edge of lace. Attach remaining brads to corners of page. Referring to photo, position flowers, beginning with largest and filling in with medium and small flowers. One at a time, attach flowers with glue spots.
